Bayelsa State Govt. banned 14 Officers from State Int’l Airport.

YENAGOA_______The Bayelsa State Government through The Ministry Of Transport has banned one Mr. Gospel Egbe. G and 13 others who are Officers of the Airport from the Bayelsa International Airport and it Environs for disrupting flight operations in the State International Airport.
This banned contain in a Government Special Announcement made by the Ministry Of Transport signed by the Honourable Commisioner, Chief Grace Ayakpo Ekiotenne which read:
I am hereby directed by the Bayelsa State Government to suspend the following officers of the Bayelsa International Airport for disrupting flight operations at the Airport as they are being investigated for this despicable action.
They are not to be seen around the Airport premises until further notice pending when investigations are completed. The affected persons are
GOSPEL EGBE G, OLOINA OLAOWEI, EZETU EMMANUEL, JOSEPH OKURAH, BOKORU FESTUS, LAYE TONBO, EGBE NATHANIEL, PRECIOUS OLAKEMI DIUPERE, Others are AYEBATONYE LAYE NWANKWE, ANN ALAMENE, AKUBOYE WILSON, IKATUBO CYRUS, THEOPHILUS IZONEBI and IKPOIMBALI EGBE
“The Commissioner who described the actions of the Officials as barbaric and unfortunate, equally sued for calm that there’s no cause for alarm as the Airport is still in full operation; Enjoined the general public especially those using the Airport to feel at home and have nothing to be worried about, she said.”
Similarly, the government of Bayelsa state reaffirms its commitment to proceed with the ban on tricycle and waterways transit movement from 7pm to 6am daily.
Warns it’s operators to adhere strictly to the directives of Government, as defaulters will not be left unpunished. It has also gotten to the notice of the government, that individuals within yenagoa metropolis now defecate and also spend the night in tricycles parked in several areas of the state.
The Government has seized the opportunity to warn all those involved in the act to desist from perpetrating such nuisance in the city as offenders will be caught and punished accordingly.
