Rivers residents endorse Wike’s re-election bid
The re-election bid of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, received a big boost yesterday as Rivers people from all walks of life marched through the streets of Port Harcourt to endorse his ambition. Thousands of Rivers people, including lawyers, media professionals, engineers, teachers, civil servants, medical practitioners, students, senior politicians, lawmakers, women and youth groups said that Wike had performed beyond expectations, thus deserves a second term.
The march tagged Walk- 4Wike Season Three started from the Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, through Aba Road and Azikiwe Road and ended at the Government House Port Harcourt. Coordinated by DSource Connect, the groups declared that their support for Wike revolved on his outstanding projects delivery across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state. Coordinator of the DSource Connect, Dike Vincent Amadi stated that Rivers People have reiterated their support for the governor though the extensive walk, adding that in February 2019, Rivers people will join other Nigerians that voted out President Muhammadu Buhari.
