Obaseki’s Spokesman Resigns; Says He Won’t Dignify Governor’s Aides With Response
The Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Governor, Andrew Okungbowa, has quit his job. NPO Reports gathered that Okungbowa tendered his resignation on Monday after weeks of some tension surrounding his office. It was gathered that all have not been well between the Chief Press Secretary and Governor Obaseki.
NPO Reports could not confirm the main issues causing crisis. It was however learnt that Okungbowa said he had had enough with the office hence his decision to resign. After his resignation, some of the aides of the governor were said to have made some remarks which did not go down well with him.
However, in a message Okungbowa shared with his friends, he was quoted to have said he has chosen to remain silent and not responding to what he called “rants” by Obaseki’s aides
