Barr. Alabh George Turnah goes to Church for Thanksgiving
There was joy and jubilation in the family of George Turnah, as their leader Barr. Alabh George Turnah (MON) was at the Christian Church of God Mission (CCGM), at the Dappa Biriye Hall in Government House to give thanks to God for his triumph over EFCC’s seven years prosecution of 23 count charge at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt.
Barr. Alabh George Turnah said he was in church to return all Glory and thanks to God for seeing him through his ordeal with the EFCC.
According to Barr. Alabh George Turnah, “it was not easy, but he give thanks to God for the enablement to come back home unscathed as it was not all that goes to battle with the EFCC that came back the same way they went”, and that people should learn how to show appreciation for what God has done in their lives as appreciation to God is an application for God to do more
During his Thanksgiving in Church, Barr. Alabh George Turnah, who is also an Evangelist said “There was frivolous allegations against me which are not part of those 23 count charges, that former President, Jonathan gave me money to develop Ogbia and Bayelsa State and I took all the money, that Jonathan gave me money to build Ogbia Brotherhood Hall, buying of vehicle for Ogbia Traditional Rulers and N8bn to organize Football tournament within the region, but they are all lies, and that he just have to be a man over the years until the victory that came his way”.
The former SA to two NDDC MDs also used the occasion to celebrate the re-election victory of Senator Douye Diri at the November 11, 2023 off cycle gubernatorial election in the State and urged Bayelsans not to play politics with bitterness and that people should learn to forgive and forget and not to hold grievances against anyone, but to move on with life and call for support for Governor Douye Diri.
Barr. Evang. Alabh George Turnah added that he is grateful to God he is alive as judgment has been delivered in his favour and that the EFCC were unable to prove one among all the 23 Charges against him.
Chairman of the occasion Dr. Pabara Newton Igwele, who is the Commissioner for Health in Bayelsa State said “it’s a thing of joy for the victory God gave to Barr. Evang. Alabh George Turnah, and that the victory is not only to George Turnah, but to every young man in Bayelsa State, and in Nigeria”.
According to the Health Commissioner, the victory of George Turnah shows that we shouldn’t witch-hunt anybody who has not done anything wrong and that Barr. Turnah is “BLAMELESS” and added that the young ones should live by the legacies that Barr. George Turnah has placed before them.
Earlier, Pastor Peter Akpe, the Acting Chief Of Staff Government House said when you have a bright future and there is a direction, challenges will come that was why Barr. Alabh George Turnah went through the challenges of the EFCC, because he has a brighter future, but he thanked God for seeing Barr. Turnah came out free as he was without blemish.
Other dignitaries that graced the occasion include, former deputy Governor Rear Admiral Gborebiogha John Jonah (Rtd), Senator Kombowei Friday Benson, Chief Collins Cocodia, Chief Felix Omemu, Hon Tari Porri, Hon. Jonathan Robinson Obuebitei, Hon. Basil Kenbo amongst others.
