They are not qualified to lead this country – Tinubu fires at Atiku, PDP, Obasanjo

A former governor of Lagos state and leading member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has described the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari as a task that must be met while speaking about the 2019 exercise.

Tinubu also came for Nigeria’s former vice president and current presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, saying his political organisation has left the country ruined for 16 years.

“They ruled this country for 16 years from 1999 to 2015; they were planning for 60 years of doing nothing, lack of direction and lack of attention to the economy and the education sector.

“They are not qualified to lead this country. They left schools in dilapidation, left hospitals without care; they don’t deserve to come back,” The Punch reported him as saying on Tuesday, December 4, at the presentation of a keynote address at the National Consultative Forum (NCF) organised by the National Committee of Buhari Support Groups.

“Atiku could build a house of the party membership cards he has accumulated. But one thing he should remember is that a man who builds a house of cards ought not to cast stones at a man who is building a house with a firm and true foundation.

‘’He should also realise that such a feeble house will collapse as soon as the wind of truth blows it,” This Day also quoted Tinubu as saying.

The report said he also slammed former President Olusegun Obasanjo for trying to mend fences with Atiku after he earlier vowed not to forgive him.

Meanwhile, TRACKNEWS.NG earlier reported that Atiku Abubakar said on Thursday, November 29, that he is convinced beyond any doubt that he would defeat President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates in 2019.
