Sharia leaders visit Tinubu days after expressing regret for supporting Muslim-Muslim ticket

Leaders of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN) visited President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, in what appears to be a reconciliatory move, just days after expressing regret for supporting the Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 elections.
The meeting was held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sheikh AbdurRasheed Hadiyyatullah, President of SCSN, had recently voiced disappointment with the perceived lack of positive changes brought about by the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
According to him, the same faith ticket adopted by President Tinubu to emerge victorious in the last general election has not brought any positive changes to the lives of Nigerians and even Muslims.

While the specific details of the discussions remain undisclosed, the visit suggests an effort to engage in dialogue and potentially address concerns raised by the Sharia leaders.
