Minister Adegboyega Oyetola launched NIMASA’s service charter, emphasizing top-notch services
The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) service charter and grievance redress mechanism were officially launched by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola.
The theme of the launch was “Service Redefined.”
Oyetola deemed it to be appropriately scheduled and in harmony with the main goals of the ministry.
He observed that the service charter exemplifies a commitment by NIMASA to deliver top-notch, productive, and open services to Stakeholders in the maritime sector and the wider public.
The minister subtly suggested that the charter highlights the agency’s precise obligations in various domains, such as registering, certifying, and inspecting services.
According to him, “it is also a tool for accountability that sets out clear expectations for stakeholders and provides a mechanism for the agency to measure its performance
“This will help to ensure that the agency is meeting the needs of the industry and the public.
“The launch of the service charter is a clear signal that NIMASA is committed to raising its standards of service.
“As the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, I am delighted to be part of this historic moment, which reaffirms our dedication to excellence, innovation, and sustainable development.
“Our maritime sector plays a pivotal role in the economic development of our nation. It serves as a lifeline for trade, commerce, and connectivity, not only within our borders but also on the global stage.”
