Governor Adeleke Thanks Folorunso Alakija for Donating Medical Research and Training Hospital to UNIOSUN

The Chancellor of Osun State University and Executive Vice Chairman of FAMFA Oil Limited, Apostle Dr. (Mrs) Folorunso Alakija, praised Governor Ademola Adeleke as “an action Governor who is delivering good governance to the people of Osun State.”
During the Governor’s visit to the Ikoyi headquarters of Famfa Oil Limited, Apostle Dr. Alakija commended Senator Adeleke for his effective leadership since assuming office. She noted that the Governor is demonstrating a strong passion for public service and pursuing a significant agenda for the state.
Accompanied by directors Ladi and Folarin Alakija, the billionaire businesswoman prayed for God Almighty to strengthen Governor Adeleke for a second term, asserting that four years is insufficient for an action-oriented Governor like him to fully deliver on his ambitious plans for Osun State.
Reflecting on her tenure as the Chancellor of Osun State University, Dr. Alakija recounted the inception and near-completion of the UNIOSUN Medical Research and Training Hospital, a project she wholly donated and financed. She highlighted that the hospital, now 95% complete, is intended to serve patients from diverse regions and elevate the level of service to humanity.
Governor Adeleke, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, and other state officials, expressed his gratitude to the business mogul for her significant contributions to the state’s university. He specifically appreciated the construction of the massive multi-billion naira Medical Research and Training Hospital.
Addressing Dr. Alakija, Governor Adeleke described her as “a commendable role model in philanthropy,” saying, “We are here as a government to appreciate you. You are uncommon and rare in your love for service to humanity.” He also provided an extensive briefing on his administration’s achievements to date.
