Edo 2024: Mass defection hits PDP As Former Governorship Aspirant, Speaker, Thousands Of Supporters Join APC

The Acting State Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, on Sunday received thousands of defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party in Esan Central senatorial district.
The defectors includes former Governorship Aspirant, Felix Akhabue, popular known as JOFEL, Former Speaker Edo state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Frank Abumere Okiye, Hon. Godwin Ehigiamusoe, others and thousands of their supporters.

They said they were leaving the PDP as a result of out going Governor Godwin failure in governance and the imposition of his puppet which they described as a total stranger, stating that the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Monday Okpebholo is more sellable.
At the reception in Uromi, Hon. Felix Akhabue said he is happy to be back home. He further said the defection was a beginning of a movement that would sweep victory for the APC in Edo Central and the state as a whole in the forthcoming 2024 governorship elections.
They assured that their entrant into the party had signified an end to the PDP and resounding victories in the subsequent elections in the area.
