Uba Sani inaugurates $20m lithium processing plant in Kaduna

Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, has inaugurated a lithium processing plant at Kangimi in Igabi LGA of the state.
The plant is a joint venture between the Kaduna state government and Ming Xin Mineral Separation Nigeria Ltd.

In a statement on Wednesday, the state government said the plant, which has an initial capacity of 1,500 metric tonnes per day, represents phase 1 of the project.
The state government said the project’s current investment stands at $20 million, noting that there are plans to increase it to $25 million within the next two years.
It added that it is expected to create over 3000 job opportunities and make positive impacts on the host community.
