Justice Delayed But Not Denied: Bauchi Police Arrest Suspect In 2011 Post-Election Killings, 13 Years Later
Kabiru Musa, also known as Dawa, has been apprehended by the Bauchi State Police Command for his alleged involvement in the 2011 post-election violence that resulted in the deaths of six corps members and a policewoman in Giade Local Government Area. Confirming this significant breakthrough, State Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, disclosed that Musa was arrested alongside others for various crimes.
The statement detailed Musa’s alleged actions during the 2011 unrest, including an attack on the Giade Divisional Police Headquarters, resulting in fatalities and property damage.
Musa is also implicated in the recent murder of a 17-year-old girl, Aisha Mohammad, whose decomposed body was discovered in a well.
The investigation is ongoing, with Musa facing charges for multiple crimes upon its completion.
