Dangote Counters N600 Per Litre Fuel Price, Reveals Stand

The management of Dangote Refinery has refuted claims that it has set a fixed petrol price of ₦600 per litre, labeling such reports as “speculative” and unfounded.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, addressed rumors circulating in some publications that the refinery was in discussions with oil marketers about setting the price of petrol at ₦600 per litre.
The company clarified that it has not entered into any partnership with the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and emphasized that no price discussions for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) have taken place with them. The statement urged the public to disregard such speculative reports, affirming that any official communication from the company would be made through authorized channels.
