NDLEA Arrests Two ‘Slay Queens” For Selling Illicit Drugs Online In Edo State (Photos)

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended two young women in Edo State for allegedly selling illegal drugs online. The agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, made this known in a statement released on Sunday, August 25.
The suspects, identified as 26-year-old Martha Owotorofa and 21-year-old Odion Uzordinma, were arrested in separate locations within Benin City. According to Babafemi, Martha was caught at Kada Plaza in possession of quantities of Canadian Loud, a potent strain of cannabis. Meanwhile, Odion was detained in the Ugbowo area of the city with 30 cups of cookies and 17 slices of cake, all reportedly infused with illicit substances.
The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by the NDLEA to crack down on the sale and distribution of illegal drugs, particularly through online platforms, in a bid to curb drug abuse in the state and across the country.
