Boy Apprehended For Allegedly Killing Mother In Delta For Suspected Ritual Purposes
The Delta State Police Command has arrested a young boy in Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area, for allegedly murdering his mother.
Reports indicate that the boy tricked his mother into following him to a location within their community. On their way back, he attacked and killed her.
Sources suspect the killing was for ritual purposes. A witness, identified as Ovo, said locals who heard the mother’s screams rushed to the scene, overpowered the boy, and handed him over to the police.
The police took the boy to the hospital for treatment after recording his statement. Meanwhile, the mother’s body has been deposited in a morgue as investigations continue.
