Okpebholo signs new bill into law
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has signed a revised budget of N485.63 billion into law to drive the state’s development agenda.
The financial plan, which allocates N202.65 billion for recurrent expenses and N282.99 billion for capital projects, received swift approval from the Edo House of Assembly.
The signing ceremony, held at the Executive Council Chamber in Benin City, was attended by the Speaker, Chief Blessing Agbebaku, and 23 other lawmakers.
The new budget aims to accelerate the administration’s projects and lay the groundwork for continuous progress in Edo State.
The bill, submitted on November 13, was fast-tracked to ensure a smooth transition and seamless project execution by the new government.
The collaboration between the executive and legislative arms reflects their shared commitment to advancing the state’s development initiatives.
