APC Reveals Plan to Unseat Governor Otti, Take Over Abia in 2027

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has made a bold declaration to take over Abia State in 2027, with the ultimate goal of unseating the current Governor, Alex Otti.
According to Kingsley Ononogbu, the Chairman of APC in Abia, the Party is confident that it will assume control of the State and bring good governance and dividends of democracy to the people.
Ononogbu made this statement on Friday while receiving a former prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kelvin Jombo Onumah, who defected to the APC along with his supporters.
The APC Chairman expressed optimism that the Party’s achievements, particularly those recorded by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, will propel them to victory in the 2027 elections.
“We expect that if we take over Abia State in 2027, you will see more actions, verifiable actions,” Ononogbu said, emphasizing the party’s readiness to take on the challenges of governance.
He also noted that the APC has addressed its past mistakes and is now united and prepared to rule the State in 2027.
This development comes as Governor Otti faces potential challenges within his party, the Labour Party, which has been embroiled in a leadership crisis.
