Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe, the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Health of Bayelsa State, yesterday charged the people of Bayelsa West to make healthy living a priority.
The Commissioner gave the charge at Ekeremor as he attended the prosperity government’s 5th-anniversary medical outreach on behalf of the Governor.
He said the outreach is mostly for those who find it difficult to go to health facilities and vulnerable households and also to stimulate uptake of the health care services across the facilities.
Assuring the vision of the prosperity government in getting remarkable healthcare to the grassroots, the Commissioner stated that expansion of access to equitable healthcare and strengthening the healthcare systems to be able to withstand public health emergencies are what the people will continue to get from the prosperity government across the area going forward.
P
rof. Brisibe, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, and other directors of the Health Ministry, thanked Gov. Diri and his deputy for their good works in developing the States’ Health sector.
“As a Ministry, we’ll continue to do our best for the developmental interest and healthy living of all Bayelsans. Let’s all continue to support the Governor to do more for Bayelsa to develop at all times, Prof. Brisibe added.
The Commissioner, upon arrival, also paid a courtesy visit to the paramount of the Ekeremor community and further announced to the people of Bayelsa East to be ready as the medical outreach team visits them in the coming days.
