INEC Notifies Senator Natasha on Recall Process, Begins Verification

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has informed Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan about a recall petition against her.

INEC’s National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun, stated that the commission has now received petitioners’ contact details and will proceed to verify the signatures to ensure they represent over 50% of registered voters in the constituency.

The recall move follows Natasha’s suspension from the Senate after a dispute with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
