BREAKING>>CJN Walter Onnoghen to arraign next week Tuesday

ABUJA The arraignment of the Chief of Nigeria Justice Walter Onnoghen over non-declaration of assets at the Code of Conduct Tribunal has been stalled.
The development is due to the defendant’s challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal to hear the matter.

The defendant was not in court as a result of improper service of notice of arraignment. The defense Counsel led by Wole Olanipekun, SAN said the defendant under the law is not mandated to be in court when he is challenging the jurisdiction of the court. After various arguments from the Prosecution and defense counsel,the tribunal order the proper service on the defendant between now and Wednesday.
