Niger Delta Militants Blow Up Agip Gas Pipeline In Bayelsa State Vow to blow more.

The Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) has been hit by a major setback in operation as indications emerged on Friday that armed militants operating in the Niger Delta allegedly bombed a gas pipeline belonging to the oil giant at Azuzuama and parts in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

In their part, A group of Niger delta EX-MILITANTS who are part and Beneficiaries of the Second and Third phases of the Niger delta presidential amnesty programme. The group in a statement made available to TracKnews by it’s spokesman General Peter Ebiowei said, they have decided to join other Unrepentant Militants to cripple oil production activities as a protest over NON-PAYMENT for their Stipends for 11months now, after series of complaints to the Special Adviser to President on Niger Delta/ Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, Professor Charles Dokubo, who deliberately ignored several write up as peaceful approach by well meaning people of the group, but all to no avail.

This statement is coming barely few days after a major attacks was launched against Coneoil Agip facilities by unknown Unrepentant Militants in Koluama and Azuzuama, Southern Ijaw Local government Area of Bayelsa state as a warning to the Federal government of Nigeria.

In his words, General Ebiowei said “We can no longer meet up with our families for the past 11 months as we have the Stipends as our only means of survival. We may have no option than to join the unrepentant militants as we also have the capacity to do the same as others had started attacks on oil facilities. We give Dokubo one week ultimatum and Federal government should hold Dokubo Responsible if we do anything stupid because we are ready to die for what rightly belongs to us, we shall never beg for our right anymore” he added.
