Election Postponement: Moro Calls For Calm
TRACKING>>Immediate past Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro has urged the country’s citizens and his supporters not to be discouraged by the sudden postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections earlier slated to hold at the weekend.
Moro who is the Benue South Senatorial District candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), said the sudden postponement by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), was done in the best interest of the country.
A statement signed by his Director, Media and Publicity, Ameh Comradde Godwin, said the last minute decision by INEC would enable all citizens prepare well for the election.
He said: “The decision to shift the exercise would no doubt enable us prepare well for the polls as our victory is sure.
“We are in no way perturbed over the postponement of the exercise because our victory has already been sealed and delivered by the Grace of God.
“We regret the development as we had concluded plans to participate robustly in the election before it was postponed abruptly, especially those who traveled down to Benue South to exercise their franchis,” he averred.
