“Who did you leave your children for?” — Family criés out as 29-year-old woman allegedly béàtén to déàth by husband in Owerri.
A family has been thrówn into deep møurning føllowing the tragic déàth of a 29-year-old woman, Olumma Chizoba Lucy Akataobi, who allegedly díéd after being brútálly béàten by her husband in Owerri, Imo State.
The heartbréàking incident reportedly occurred around 11pm on Monday, February 2. Olumma is said to have løst her life as a result of alleged domestic víølénce.
A dístúrbíñg video making the rounds online shows Olumma’s lífeléss bødy lyíng on the floor. In the footage, a man can be heard çryíng uncontrollably as he repeatedly called her name, “Olumma, Olumma,” his voice filled with agøny. A female voice in the background is heard saying, “So this girl has díéd”.
Reacting to the tràgedy, the decéased sister, Ezinne Onyedikachi Brenda Akataobi, has appealed to Nigerians to help her family get justice.
According to her, Olumma’s husband, identified as Kelechi Prince Okeke, who is allegedly a d*ug séller, kí|led her sister after she asked him to release ₦35,000 paid by one of her customers into his account.
The family is now demanding a full investigation and justice for Olumma, whose déàth has left loved ones asking paíñful questions including who will now take care of the children she left behind.
