The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has intensified its immigration enforcement efforts, adding 19 additional Nigerians to its “Worst of the Worst” criminal aliens list. These individuals, who have convictions for serious offenses including fraud, assault, drug trafficking, sexual assault of a minor, and money laundering, are now slated for deportation.
The latest update, reflected on the official DHS website, brings the total number of Nigerians targeted for removal under this initiative to 113 within the past 21 days. This follows earlier waves where dozens were identified as part of a broader crackdown on non-citizens with criminal records and final removal orders, led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The newly named individuals include: Adeolu Solabu, Oladayo Agboola, Chinonso Ochie, Oluchi Jennifer Chimdimma Chime, Samuel Omorodion, Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi, Mkpouto Etukudoh, Marcus Unigwe, Kehinde James, Blessing Uchanma, Victor Adebisi, Richard Ugbah, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Oluwamuyiwa Olawoye, Okechukwu Amadi, Femi Jolayemi, Anthony Asanya, Izuchukwu Okoye, and Ebele Agbasiele.
This development aligns with the U.S. administration’s push for mass deportations, prioritizing those described as the “worst of the worst” criminal non-citizens. Deportation proceedings may still involve due process, but the listings signal imminent removal once processes are completed.
