Buhari Has Disappointed Us After We Gave Him Almost A Million Votes In 2019 Presidential Election
TRACKING_____Frustration definitely captures the mood around Borno state as the indigenes of the state could not hide their agony at the incessant terrorist attacks on its people as they booed President Buhari during his condolence visit to the state.
While the President was accompanied by the governor of the state, Babagana Umaru Zulum on his visit to the Palace of the Shehu of Borno, HRH Abubakar Ibn Umar Gabai, many Borno residents were seen shouting “Bama so!” “Bamayi!,” meaning “we don’t want; we’re not interested in Hausa translation. This is a total deviation from 2015 and 2019 when the crowd will go gaga renting the air with shouts of “Sai baba,” whenever President Buhari visited.
This is a state that voted massively for Buhari during the 2019 election. One would have expected more from the President in terms of ensuring convincing security for the state and its residents but that’s not the case.
It’s so bad that immediately the President left Borno yesterday after his condolence visit over the killing of over 30 persons at Auno village on Sunday last week, terrorist swung into action striking again at Jiddari Polo metropolis as residents fled their homes.
The President has however blamed the community and locals insisting that Boko Haram cannot know when and where to strike without their knowledge.
