The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has suspended Reverend Ifunaya Maduka from his position as Vicar of St Paul’s Parish in Nteje, located in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, following allegations of conducting fake miracles and staging prophecies.

The suspension was announced by church authorities after concerns were raised about the authenticity of certain spiritual activities linked to the cleric. The church stated that the decision was taken to uphold its doctrine and maintain integrity within its ministry.

Details surrounding the allegations suggest that some of the reported miracles and prophetic acts may have been manipulated or falsely presented to congregants. The church has not disclosed the full extent of the claims but indicated that investigations are ongoing.

Church leadership emphasized its commitment to transparency and accountability, noting that any actions that could mislead members or damage the church’s reputation would not be tolerated.

Reverend Maduka will remain suspended pending the outcome of further inquiries into the matter.
