7 Bayelsa Police Men Allegedly Shot Dead By DSARS, Over Alleged Robbery Involvement In Delta State.
TRACKING___There has been report that not less than seven (7) police men, have been shot and killed by men of the Delta State Anti Robbery Squad (DSARS) on Wednesday night, over alleged criminal involvement in robbery activities in the ughelli North area local government of Delta State.
Reports has it that this situation has caused an uproar and a negative reaction from the Nigeria police force attached to Bayelsa state, over the killing of their colleague in ughelli delta state.
According to undisclosed source, the seven police men from Bayelsa state branch, were reportedly shot dead while they were carrying out an armed robbery operation in ughelli delta state.
“It was while the operation was going on in ughelli, that some men of the Delta State Anti Robbery Squad met them and engaged them in a shot out, in that gun duel, about seven of them were shot and killed”
According to him, a sergeant in charge of the state armoury was also caught in criminal activities involvement, and has since been transferred to head quater in Abuja for further investigations.
A reliable source also informed us that the Bayelsa state commissioner of police, has taken some men, and headed on to delta State, so he can retrieve the bodies of his men who were shot dead in the gun battle.
The Bayelsa state command has been mute over the whole incident, refusing to give any reliable information on the topic. Calls and bid to contact DSP Asinim Buswat, the Bayelsa state spokesperson has also proved abortive.
