Ogun gets new HoS

TRACKING___Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of Mrs. Selimot Olapeju Ottun as the Head of Service (HoS).

The approval was contained in a statement issued yesterday in Abeokuta by Chief Press Secretary Kunle Somorin.

The governor expressed confidence that Mrs. Ottun will put her vast knowledge in the management of the civil service to good use in her new assignment.

Mrs. Ottun replaces Mrs. Amope Ajibola Chokor, who bowed out of the public service at the weekend.

The statement said the new HoS took the baton with impeccable pedigree and service record, being an accomplished psychologist, community development expert and administrator.

As the 17th HoS since the creation of the Gateway State, Mrs Ottun is the fourth woman to occupy the office.

Until her appointment, she was permanent secretary in the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration. She had served as permanent secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism between 2015 and 2019.

A 1985 graduate of Psychology from the University of Ibadan, Mrs. Ottun also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrated Development from the Pan African Institute of Development, Bua in Cameroon.
