Hon. Kia Nigeria Visits Igeibiri Community To Strengthen Peace Initiative
TRACKING___The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw LGA, Chief (Hon) Kia Ebidoughebofa Nigeria, paid an unscheduled visit to Igeibiri Community as way of following up the peace and conflict resolution efforts initiated by him.
Recall that the community was thrown into leadership crisis as a result of the fallout of CDC Elections, which prompted the Council Boss to intervene in order to forestall further crisis and breakdown of law and order in the community.
On arrival, Chief Kia reiterated the earlier resolution which relieved the ELECO and ordered that the incumbent CDC Chairman continue in acting capacity within a period of 90days within wish a lasting solution would be proffered.
Chief Kia further called on all community leaders and key actors to maintain status quo, and also cautioned that no one should breach the existing peace process by doing things that will ignite further crisis.
