Engr. Ikioumoton Fredrick Ugo has emerged unopposed in the just-concluded affirmation primaries of the All Progressives Grand Alliance held in Yenagoa, securing the party’s ticket to contest for Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency II in the 2027 Bayelsa State House of Assembly election.
The affirmation exercise, which drew party leaders, delegates and supporters, ended with a unanimous endorsement of Engr. Ugo as the party’s standard-bearer for the constituency.
His emergence was greeted with jubilation by party faithful and supporters, many of whom described the outcome as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership capacity, grassroots connection and commitment to the development of Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency II.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Engr. Ugo expressed gratitude to members of APGA for the trust and confidence placed in him, pledging to uphold the party’s ideals and offer quality representation to the people if elected.
He assured party supporters and residents of the constituency of his commitment to people-oriented leadership, promising to focus on community development, youth empowerment and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
