Assembly approves N243.5m for Kwara COVID-19 spending

TRACKING____The Kwara State House of Assembly has granted approval to a request by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to spend N243,555,880.00 received as COVID-19 donations for the procurement of medical equipment and construction of a Molecular Laboratory.
The legislators gave the approval via a resolution on Wednesday.
The governor, on Tuesday, presented the request seeking approval to the house.
House Leader, Magaji Olawoyin (Ilorin Central), moved the motion for the approval which was seconded by Abdullah Danbaba, (kaiama/Kemanji/Wajibe).
The legislators unanimously approved the governors request after a debate on the motion.
In another development, the legislators urged the state government to implement the state’s Security Trust Fund Act to cater for security-related problems that might crop up in any part of the state.
