BAYELSA: LAWMAKER DONATES AIR CONDITIONERS, INSTALLATION KITS TO THE INSTITUTION

The Lawmaker representing Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency-ll in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Wisdom Fafi, has donated Indoor & Outdoor Unit Hisense air conditioners and Maxi Genuine Installation Kits to the State-owned Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, NDU, Amassoma, Bayelsa State.
The donations are made to assist the institution, where he worked after graduation from the University of Port Harcourt, as a Senior Transport Supervisor, which boosted his C.V and gave him an edge, upon which he was subsequently appointed Transport Officer, Bayelsa State Government House, later two time Caretaker Chairman of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local government area Council, and now a Member of the 6th State House of Assembly to have a conducive Environment for teaching and learning.
Presenting the items to the Institution’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo today, 9th December, 2020. Hon. Fafi explained that the donations were part of his contributions to the institution.
Honorable Fafi noted that although the government had the responsibility to provide the needed assistance to the institution, such assistance was never enough, hence, the need for all stakeholders to also do their part.
“On behalf of myself, my family and all the characters of my constituency, I wish to donate 10 each of Indoor & Outdoor Air Conditioner Units, 10 Installation kits to the Institution.
Responding, Prof. Edoumiekumo on behalf of the Governing Council and students of the Citadel of Learning, while receiving the donated items thanked the lawmaker and prayed God to continue to lift him in all spheres of his endeavor, assuring that the items would be handled properly.
