Bridget Esene: Kidnapped NIS spokesperson released, Police silent on ransom
The Police have confirmed the release of abducted spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Edo Command, Bridget Esene.
Police Public Relations Officer in Edo, Chidi Nwabuzor, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.
The spokesman, however, declined to comment on whether ransom was paid or not.
Eseme was kidnapped in Benin on Sunday and released at about 4pm today.
She was seized in the Ikhueniro area of the state capital on her way to church around Agbor.
The Immigration official’s car was later recovered on Agbor bypass.
