Asanakpo calls for caution during easter festivities

The acting Chairman of Bayelsa State Volunteers, Hon. Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo calls for caution and moderation as the nation celebrates easter.
The security chief has advised citizens of Bayelsa State especially youth bodies to stay away from acts capable of bringing disrepute to their families and the society.
Youths, he advised should avoid the temptation of engaging in crime and criminality in the guise of celebrating easter because the government will not tolerate any acts capable of causing the breach of public peace in the state.
This easter season, he observed calls for sober reflection on the true essence and intendment of the sacrifice made by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of #calvary to redeem humanity from the crucibles of death and poverty.
The security chief has admonished individuals and youth groups not to abuse the privilege of the easter festivities to upturn the peace and tranquility enjoyed in recent times, adding that the state government will not fold its hands and allow a few disgruntled miscreants to cause mayhem during this period.
He said that the Senator Douye Diri led administration has great dreams for the youths hence, he has put in place measures to mitigate the adverse economic challenges faced by the people. Therefore, the government needs the support of everyone to bring those programmes to fruition.
Once again, the Chairman wishes the good people of Bayelsa State happy easter celebration. Don’t take or trafick drugs and don’t drink if you must drive. Stafe safe and stay healthy. Happy easter.
