ASANAKPO CONGRATULATES SDD ON EASTER

The acting workaholic Chairman of Bayelsa State Volunteers, Hon. Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo has congratulated the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri and members of the cabinet on the occasion of this year’s easter celebration.

In a brief message, the acting Chairman stated that the easter celebration which was established to commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is an important festival in the Christian domain that every believer should observe.

According to him, the essence of the Christian belief is anchored on the fact that God loves us humans that He sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to die for us on the crooked cross of calvary. But he did not end the journey there on the cross, He died and was buried and rose again on the third day. That is greatest miracle of all time.

As humans and as believers, we can’t celebrate Him enough because of this great gift God bestowed on us even when we were not worthy of the gift. It is on this premise that I rejoice with the prosperity government whose main agenda is to spread the prosperity gospel to every citizen by word and by action in furtherance of God’s grace to his people.

The Chairman has admonished all the citizens of the state to rally round the governor and the prosperity crew as they embark on creating a new bright future for the state and its people despite the lean economic resources available to the state.

Again, Hon. Asanakpo expressed gratitude to the governor for creating job opportunities for our teeming youths through the various infrastural development programmes he has put in place to ameliorate the suffering of our youths.

Asanakpo once again reiterated the need for our youth to shun all forms of criminality and vices especially in this easter period, adding that the agency has established structures to swiftly arrest miscreants and criminals without fail.

He stated that the agency has again began its regular surveillance patrol to hot spots in the state capital, and any person or group of persons caught will be handed over to the state security services for prosecution.

Hon. Asanakpo has equally called on the citizens to volunteer information to the agency so that security breaches will be nipped in the bud. Security, he observed is everybody’s responsibility. We need to work together to ensure a safe Bayelsa State, he asserted.
