The Association for Students’ Social Welfare (ASSW) has partnered with Devorent Nigeria Limited, through She Leads Africa (SLA), to empower 10,000 young Nigerian women through the BoostHer Programme.

The six-month initiative is scheduled to commence on November 1, 2026, and will provide opportunities for entrepreneurship, employability and leadership development.

The programme targets women aged 18 to 35, including aspiring entrepreneurs, existing business owners and job seekers.

Through its student networks, institutional relationships and grassroots outreach, ASSW aims to connect more young women with opportunities to develop their skills, strengthen their businesses and increase their participation in Nigeria’s economy.

How To Apply For The BoostHer Programme

Young Nigerian women interested in the initiative can access programme information through the official partnership page.

Interested participants can visit the BoostHer Programme application and information page to explore the opportunity and obtain further details.

The programme will focus on learning, business ideation, branding and leadership development.

ASSW Founder Highlights Importance Of Women’s Empowerment

Speaking on the partnership, ASSW Founder and Executive Director, Amb. Victor Adetolaju, MITPN, said empowering young women would contribute to enterprise development, innovation and national growth.

“Empowering young women is not just a social responsibility; it is an investment in enterprise, innovation and national development. Through this partnership, we aim to bridge opportunity gaps and help more young Nigerian women build the capacity to shape their economic futures,” he said.

ASSW also called on tertiary institutions, student leaders, community organisations, corporate partners and development stakeholders to support nationwide awareness and participant mobilisation.

The organisation said the partnership reinforces its commitment to creating practical opportunities for students and young people through skills development, mentorship and career advancement.

BoostHer Programme Targets Nationwide Participation

The BoostHer Programme aims to reach 10,000 young Nigerian women during its six-month implementation period.

Its focus on entrepreneurship, employability and leadership development is intended to support participants at different stages of their professional and business journeys.

The organisers say the ambition is to expand access to opportunities, strengthen participants’ capabilities and encourage greater economic participation among young women.
