I’m Not Afraid Of Expulsion – Marafa Dares APC, Mai Mala Buni
Former Zamfara Central Senator, Kabir Marafa has declared that he is not afraid of expulsion from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is as he boasted that he can’t be intimidated by anybody, adding that he made APC, the party didn’t make him.
The Zamfara politician also challenged the current leadership of the APC headed by Governor Mai Mala Buni to go and sleep rather than keep making empty threats.
TrackNews Online recalls Marafa had been had loggerheads with the APC after he rejected Governor Bello Matawalle who recently defected to the APC as his leader in Zamfara State.
He also challenged the legality of the national caretaker committee headed by Governor Buni of Yobe State.
Following his public stance on some party issues, some stakeholders within the party have started calling for his expulsion for alleged anti-party activities.
But Marafa while responding to the allegations during an interview with Channels Television said he is not moved by any of their antics because he is only saying the truth.
“I think my friend Mai Mala is afraid and jittery because I told him that if we are pushed to the wall we are going to ask about his legality of being an APC National Chairman.
“So I am not afraid to be expelled from APC and I said it time without number that I made APC, APC didn’t make me, I did everything for APC and APC didn’t do anything for me.
“So for somebody to come to the party today and say I will be suspended, let him not allow me to sleep in APC today.
“What is most important to me is the people of Zamfara and I thank them for the love they are showing me, they believed in me and I believed in them.
“So let Maimala go and sleep. I am not going to court, I am only telling the truth.
” And if he continues to push us they will see what I am talking about is going to happen and Nigerians are going to see it,” Marafa stated.
Meanwhile, the process for the wards, local governments, state congresses, and national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled to commence on July 24, 2021, has been postponed indefinitely.
The postponement was contained in a letter signed by the National Chairman of APC’s Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, who is Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, and the National Secretary of the CECPC, Senator John Akpanudoedehe.
The letter, dated July 6, 2021, was addressed to the Chairman Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
Though no specific reason was given in the letter, Naija News gathered the indefinite postponement can be linked to logistics challenges.
