Gov Matawalle’s Senior Special Assistant, Aliyu Gura resigns
A Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara state, Hon. Aliyu Jibril Gura Guri has resigned his political appointment from the Governor’s cabinet.
According to the letter of resignation sent to the Governor through the office of the Secretary to the Government on the 4th of November 2021, Hon. Aliyu Jibril Gura resigned to concentrate on his new appointment with an international Development partner.
“I write to intimate you that I have been given an appointment by a Development corporation to lead a team that would implement development project in some selected states of the federation and the federal capital,” he said.
“Based on this development, it became very imperative to resign my appointment as your Senior Special Assistant (SSA)”.
“On behalf of myself, my family and our teeming supporters from Shinkafi, Zurmi and entire state to express our profound appreciation for the wonderful opportunity given to me to serve in your government”.
Recalled that Hon. Gura was a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and has been one of the active political associates of the former APGA national scribe, Hon. Sani Abdulahi Shinkafi.
Hon. Gura dumped APGA and defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) when his political godfather, Hon. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi defected to APC.
Gura contested election into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Shinkafi and Zurmi federal constituency in 2019 but lost.
