Death of 12yr-old Dowen College student: RTEAN Chairman demands justice
The State Chairman, Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) Bayelsa State Council joins other groups and well meaning Nigerians to condemn the barbaric, black-hearted, iniquitous act by five (5) “seniors” of Dowen College.
Dowen College is located in Lekki, Lagos State with both boarding and day pupils. Aside its good learning environment, its popularity is gained from the video shoot of wizkid “Holla at your boy”
Master Sylvester Oromini Junior, 12 years old, was alleged to have been bullied, beaten and even given chemical substance to drink as claimed by the father for refusing to join cult group.
The State Chairman, Chief Oyinkuro Ifie Ereboh commended the Lagos State Government for closure of the school and that it should not stop there until justice is meted on the culprits. “This is just one out of many happenings in many Nigerian schools and if measures are not put in place, we will stand to face the consequences. So I join others to say that this should not be taken for granted and taken to another crescendo.
I further sympathize with the family, friends and well wishers for this painful loss and may God grant us all the grace to stand the loss”.
