Body Of Sylvester Oromoni Released To Family For Burial – Police

The remains of Sylvester Oromoni, a late student of Dowen College in the Lekki area of the state, have been released to his family for burial by the Lagos State police command.
In a statement issued on Friday, the police command’s spokesman acknowledged the development.
He said the 12-year-old student’s body was released to his family after an autopsy was performed to determine the cause of his death, but the autopsy results were not released
The statement read:-
“Sylvester Oromoni: autopsy done. The result is being awaited. Corpse released to family for burial. Investigation ongoing.”
On December 2, Sylvester Oromoni’s death was revealed on social media.
Sylvester Oromoni is said to have died as a result of injuries incurred while being tortured by his colleagues in the college.
The school admin has since refuted the claim that the deceased was bullied by his senior colleagues.
Later, the state government issued an order for the indefinite closure of the school to allow a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
