APC Fixes January 27 For Primary Election Ahead Of Ekiti State Guber

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has scheduled its primary election in Ekiti State for January 27, 2022, ahead of the governorship election slated for 18th June, 2022.
The party’s National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, John Akpanudoedehe gave the date in a statement, titled ‘Revised APC Timetable: Ekiti state governorship primary election holds January 27’.
The statement stated,
“In accordance with provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and Independent National Electoral Commission guidelines, the All Progressives Congress has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2022 Governorship Primary Election in Ekiti State. INEC has fixed June 18, 2022, for the Ekiti governorship election.”
It explained that the last day for submitting completed forms and accompanying documents is now Saturday, January 15, 2022, adding that screening of aspirants is Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
It added that publication of claims and objections, would be on Thursday, January 20, 2022, while screening appeals is on Sunday, January 23, 2022; primary election, Thursday, January 27, 2022, and election appeal: Friday, January 28/Saturday, January 29, 2022.
