Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal drought continues as struggling Manchester United draw Southampton
Ronaldo has now played six games without scoring a goal for United, an unusual goal drought for the prolific goalscorer.
Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has continued to experience goal drought as Manchester United drew Southampton 1-1 on Saturday at the Old Trafford.
United hope of making top four spot this season of the EPL suffered another setback as the Red Devils failed to bounce back from Tuesday’s disappointing performance against relegation bound Burnley.
Ronaldo has now played six games without scoring a goal for United, an unusual goal drought for the prolific goalscorer who joined United from Juventus last year.
Jadon Sancho gave the home side an early lead, scoring 21 minutes into the game.
The Red Devils went into the first half break with a one goal lead. However, Che Adams’ 48th minute goal, cancelled the United’s lead.
For the fourth time in six games, United have ended up not winning or taking good advantage of an early lead.
With 40 points in 24 games, United are 5th on the EPL log, leading Arsenal, who have 39 points with two outstanding games, with just one point.
