‘Defection Looming’: Ganduje Praises Kwankwaso Hours After Condemning PDP

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje on Sunday praised his predecessor, Musa Kwankwaso for the first time in a long while.
This is coming a few hours after Kwankwaso asked Nigerians to look for a new party apart from the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress to rescue them in the 2023 general election.
There had been speculations that the former Governor of Kano state might dump the main opposition party ahead of the general election.
Kwankwaso in his statement had claimed that he returned to the state political level to rescue Kano State.
Ganduje while speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting with some leaders of the APC said Kwankwaso and himself developed Kano State to its enviable status.
The Kano State Governor said, “Former Governor, Senator Rabi’u Musa and I are the architects of modern Kano.”
Ganduje briefed the stakeholders about the victory of his faction in the latest judgment passed by the Court of Appeal on the leadership of the party.
He added, “Those responsible for the new face of Kano State are Kwankwaso and Ganduje.”
