Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri and his predecessor in office, Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson, on Wednesday, continued to strengthen their party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state and nationally.
This much was revealed by Sen. Dickson, who had earlier met with some elders and leaders of the state caucus, on his verified social media handles today.
The post by the immediate past governor, who is also the senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial Zone reads in part, “In continuation of ongoing efforts to further strengthen the PDP, earlier today, I hosted my Governor, Senator Douye Diri in a closed-door meeting when he visited me, as he normally does most times he is in Abuja.
“We had fruitful discussions on how to strengthen our party and he thanked me for my attendance at the events during the 2nd anniversary celebration of his government last week.
“I reiterated my commendation to him for continuity of projects and policies that are beneficial to our people as he is doing.
“I again call for continuous support and prayers for him, the government and the state.”
Sen. Dickson was one of the guests of honour at the events marking the second anniversary of the Douye Diri Administration in the state.
