Female Human Trafficker Arrested In Ondo While Trying To Smuggle Teenagers Out Of The Country
Amotekun operatives have apprehended a female human trafficker who was allegedly trafficking four girls to Ghana.
The 29-year-old was arrested while transporting the girls from Abuja to Ibadan.
She was stopped between Kogi and Ondo States boundary.
The teenage victims revealed that the lady promised to take them to Ghana to work.
The Amotekun commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, said the girls will be reunited with their families after the suspect was paraded.
He said, “We arrested a lady, Happiness Titi, during a joint military patrol at the boundary of Ondo and Kogi. During the stop and search, we apprehended this lady with four of her victims on their way to Ghana.
“We found out that she deceived the victims that she was taking them to Ghana for some greener pastures.”
In other news, five men have been charged to a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ court in Lagos for alleged possession of human skulls.
The suspects are Adekunle Mufutau, 50, Abdulwaheed Omolewa, 46, Adeleke Nosiru, 45, Kazeem Laisisi, 36, and Babatunde Omoleye, 30.
The defendants who pleaded not guilty were charged on two count charge of conspiracy and unlawful possession of human parts.
The Prosecutor, Asp. Rita Momah, informed the court that the suspects were caught on March 16 at Agbowa Ikosi, area near Lagos.
