Breaking: Ganduje’s Commissioner Resigns, Defects To NNPP
The Commissioner of Finance under the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led government in Kano State, Shehu Na’Allah Kura has resigned.
The development was disclosed in a statement released by the commissioner for Information in the state, Muhammadu Garba on Thursday.
Kura dumped Ganduje’s cabinet after the Chief of Staff, Ali Haruna Makoda, dumped the cabinet and defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
NNPP is led by former Governor of the state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso
The statement reads, “One of the commissioners nominated for appointment by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau into the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the lucrative ministry of finance and economic development, Shehu Na’Allah Kura has resigned and joined his boss.”
Garba disclosed that Kura was appointed as commissioner in the state following the request of Senator brahim Shekarau after the 2019 election.
According to Garba, Kura was a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and had previously served as commissioner of planning and budget before his resignation.
Kura is yet to publicly announce his defection from the APC to NNPP.
