Osun 22: “I Didn’t Step Down For Adeleke” – Lasun Says

The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Saturday’s Osun State governorship election, Yusuf Lasun has denied stepping down from the contest.
Recall some earlier reports from some news platforms but not Track News Nigeria that Lasun had withdrawn from the race and is now supporting the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke.
While having an interview with Track News Nigeria following the casting of his vote at PU04, Ward 5, Woru compound, Irepodun local government area, Lasun denied that he stepped down for Adeleke.
He also bemoaned the problems caused by vote buying to the electoral system in Nigeria, adding it is a big hitch.
When giving a reaction to the rumours of his principal collapsing his structure for the PDP, Oyewole Oladimeji who is his spokesman, noted: “Hon. Lasun Yusuf did not collapse any of his structure into the PDP. Those that are spreading the news are only hallucinating.
“He is in the race and still hopeful of victory.”
