Wike, Saraki, and Others To Be Named To Atiku Presidential Campaign Council In 2023

By Adeleye Kunle
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, among others, is set to be named to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential campaign council of Atiku Abubakar.
According to Track News, the council will include Wike, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and other presidential aspirants.
It is believed that the move was made to ease tensions within the party following Atiku’s decision to name Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
In an interview with Track News, Atiku’s spokesman, Paul Ibe, stated that all PDP primaries losers and other party members will be integrated into the team.
Ibe also revealed that plans to appoint a Director General for the council are in the works.
“Plans are in the works to inaugurate the campaign council and appoint a director general,” he said. You must understand that this is not just an Atiku phenomenon. Everyone must participate. There are plans to include other people who did not make it through the primaries.”
