The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has been dubbed a “seventh-time presidential aspirant” by the Peter Obi Support Network (POSN).
POSN chastised the former vice president for remarks he made during an interview on Arise TV on Friday morning.

Atiku stated during the interview that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would be unable to win the 2023 election due to a lack of a national structure.

He stated that the Labour Party’s platform did not include any governors or National Assembly members.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Sani Altukry, POSN slammed Atiku for providing unsolicited and incorrect political advice on who could and could not win elections.

“The seventh-time presidential aspirant reportedly claimed that today’s most popular presidential candidate, Peter Obi, cannot win,” according to the group.

“Unfortunately, the former Vice President based his entire permutation on the assumed influence of corruption-promoting and vote-buying mercenaries known as political structure, and failed to consider Nigerians, who are the most powerful force in a democracy and key determinants of election victory.”

“Every political philosopher acknowledges that sovereignty is a right of the people!” The assertion of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar reflects the fascist school of thought, which holds that the masses are unimportant and, more importantly, incapable of thinking for themselves.

“In essence, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is saying that Nigerians are slaves who can only make political decisions imposed on them by their slave masters.”

“We assure the former Vice President and those of his generation who have such negative views of Nigerians that a new Nigeria has arrived, and Nigerians are ready to take control of their destiny.”

“The Peter Obi candidacy is a national movement for the reawakening of Nigerians to take control of their destiny and break the chains and shackles for which they are derisively referred to as’sub-citizens,’ with the so-called structure deciding where their votes shall be cast.”

“We rely on the votes of millions of disgruntled but patriotic Nigerians who want a truly independent, prosperous, and thriving democratic Nigeria.” Every day, as we travel from community to community, market to market, mosque to mosque, and church to church, we are encouraged by Nigerians’ enthusiasm for a new, working, and productive Nigeria led by Mr. Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

“After confirming Mr. Peter Obi’s undeniable competence, integrity, and widespread acceptance, we expected the former Vice President to demonstrate his true love for Nigeria and genuine desire for her progress by abandoning his ambition to become President of Nigeria and endorsing Mr. Peter Obi, who has demonstrated practical readiness and preparedness to rescue Nigeria from the brink of total collapse.”

“We believe Alhaji Abubakar will see the writing on the wall and act accordingly.”
