Suspect was apprehended with a body bag and two AK-47 rifles. Says he will die if disclose the Identity of sponsors

Destiny Agbaijoh, a 25-year-old suspected killer being held by the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ondo State, has stated that disclosing his sponsors will result in his death.

Destiny was apprehended with an AK-47, a pump action, 91 5.56 mm bullets, 16 cartridges, and N347,000 in cash in his possession.

The suspect, who revealed he was a timber trader after being paraded in Akure, told reporters, “I will die if I confess my mission and those who sent me.”

When asked why he did not notify the police about the contents of the bag, he stated, “I never knew it would later cause me problems.” It was in a bush near where I work. I found it in the nylon bag it was wrapped in and brought it back to my village.

“I’m not sure if it will be a problem later.” I was traveling from Bayelsa State to my hometown in Ondo State’s Ese-Odo council area after Agadagba. “I earned the money through my timber business.”

According to Mr Kayode Raji, the state Commandant of the NDLEA, the suspect was apprehended during a stop and search operation along the Ore-Okitipupa road.

According to Raji, the suspect attempted to bribe his on-duty officers with the cash discovered on him, but they refused and arrested him.

“On the 20th of July, our men on a stop and search operation along the Ore-Okitipupa road arrested the suspect,” he said. During the search, he was discovered with a variety of weapons and ammunition.

“He was also arrested with strap bags, and when we asked him what they were for, he told us he’d die if he confessed.”

“It appears to be dead or mangled human bodies in bags.” “We have completed our preliminary investigation and will turn him over to the Nigerian Police,” Raji explained.
