Former Ogun Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun has promised that his successor, Dapo Abiodun, will not be re-elected in 2023, TrackNews Reports.

Amosun, who has been opposed to Abiodun’s governorship bid since 2018, has stated that he does not support the current administration in the state.

He has vowed to go to any length to dethrone Abiodun politically in 2023.

On Saturday, the former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate spoke shortly after receiving an award from the Abeokuta Club to commemorate the club’s 50th anniversary.

He claimed that the Allied People’s Movement (APM2019 )’s Ogun governorship candidate, Hon. AbdulKabir Akinlade, whom he supported, won the election.

“I am elated to have heard people say that when we were there, we did the work of four, five past governors combined,” he said. “We are happy that people appreciated the little we have done.”

“You know exactly where I stand on this issue; just wait until you hear from us.” “My position is where it is; I do not support this administration; he must be removed,”

According to the Abeokuta Central Senator, there was a gang-up against him in 2019, and those involved have since apologized.

In response to a comment that he had not distributed his administration’s achievements throughout the state, Amosun stated that his landmark projects are present in all senatorial districts.

Former Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba praised Amosun for the capital city of Abeokuta’s infrastructure upgrades, including the ongoing amphitheatre at the Alake palace.
